The hospital in Cleveland Heights is a 16-bed facility with an emergency department, surgery center and medical offices. The Parma location has 12 patient rooms, an ED and medical offices.
The two locations were formerly urgent care centers owned by HealthSpan, an insurer. In 2015, MetroHealth signed an agreement with HealthSpan to transition the sites into MetroHealth facilities.
“These hospitals allow us to give patients what they prefer — access to greater levels of care, in their own communities,” said Bernard Boulanger, MD, executive vice president and chief clinical officer of MetroHealth.
