The 119,616-square-foot medical center includes an emergency room, operating rooms with extended recovery for patients and family birthing center. Services include radiology, imaging, physical therapy, general surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, primary care, orthopedics, cardiology and urology.
Features include spacious rooms and expanded showers with seats in the family birthing center. The facility also offers a sub-section of the emergency department meant for patients who have less serious complaints, said Deborah Hayes, RN, MSN, vice president and COO of Christ Hospital Health Network.
“The goal will be to have them moved through the system and be in and out in about 60 to 90 minutes so that they’re not held up by more complex patients,” Ms. Hayes told the Journal-News.
The facility expects to create over 300 jobs.
