IU Health plans to sell the site of the old hospital to the city for $6.5 million once Bloomington Hospital services are transferred to the new facility. IU Health also intends to spend at least $7 million to demolish the old hospital once the new facility opens.
The Regional Academic Medical Center is expected to open in late 2020.
