Fire at Pennsylvania hospital prompts room evacuations

A fire at Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Sunday forced hospital staff to relocate some patients, 16WNEP reported.

A small fire started in an office on the facility’s fifth floor. Patients on the fifth floor were moved to another floor and the fire was extinguished quickly. Damage, mainly from water, is still being assessed. 

The hospital is open and accepting all emergency patients, according to 16WNEP.
