Georgia medical center names new COO: 3 things to know

Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, Ga., named James Nixon COO, according to the Tifton Grapevine.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Nixon:

1. He has a decade of healthcare administrative leadership experience.

2. Before joining Meadows, he was vice president in different capacities and divisions at Tift Regional Health System in Tifton, Ga.

3. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance at Macon, Ga.-based Mercer University and a master of science degree in health administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
