14 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported in Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, appointed David Shimp CEO.

2. St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind., named Leo Correa CEO.

3. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., selected Julie Freischlag, MD, as its new president and CEO, effective April 2017.

4. St. Louis-based SSM Health tapped Laura Kaiser to serve as president and CEO, effective May 1, 2017.

5. Pontiac, Mich.-based McLaren Oakland appointed Barton P. Buxton president and CEO, effective Feb. 20, 2017.

6. Paris (Texas) Regional Medical Center, a part of Brentwood, Texas-based RCCH HealthCare Partners, named Steve Hyde CEO.

7. Baton Rouge (La.) General/General Health System appointed Edgardo Tenreiro permanent CEO.

8.  Crowley, La.-based Acadia General Hospital CEO Don Trexler is leaving his post, effective March 24, 2017.

9. Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Fla., appointed James Platt interim CEO.

10. Chadron (Neb.) Community Hospital selected Anna Turman to serve as interim CEO.

11. Memorial Hospital of Tampa (Fla.) appointed Sonia Wellman, RN, CEO, effective March 6, 2017.

12. Jerry Klein, CEO of Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyo., resigned from his post.

13. Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (Texas) dropped the 'interim' from CEO Zach Dietze's title.

14. Savannah, Ga.-based Memorial Health President and CEO Maggie Gill decided to resign.
