CEO of Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County resigns: 3 things to know

Jerry Klein, CEO of Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyo., resigned from his post, according to a Rock Springs Rocket-Miner report.

Here are three things to know.

1. Hospital board members accepted Mr. Klein’s resignation on Tuesday, although he announced his intent to depart Feb. 1.

2. The board accepted Mr. Klein’s resignation during an emergency meeting following a Sweetwater County Commission meeting in which two board members were removed for just cause, according to the report.

3. During Tuesday’s meeting, the board also approved Memorial Hospital CFO Irene Richardson as interim CEO.
