11 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Hoag Health CEO Richard Afable, MD, plans to retire by the end of the year.

2. Eutaw, Ala.-based Greene County Health System CEO Elmore Patterson is resigning.

3. Jim FitzPatrick, president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City (Iowa) resigned.

4. Evan Dillard, president and CEO of Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Forrest Health, is retiring.

5. San Angelo (Texas) Community Medical Center CEO Jeremy Riney is stepping down.

6. Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network appointed Mike Poore regional president and CEO, effective Aug. 21.

7. Galax, Va.-based Twin County Regional Healthcare selected Dale Alward as its new CEO, effective Aug. 28.

8. Robert Letson, CEO of South Peninsula Hospital in Homer, Alaska, is retiring in June 2018.

9. Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo., named Jim Marshall CEO and administrator.

10. William Webster, president and CEO of Medical Center Health System in Odessa, Texas, is retiring, effective January 2018.

11. Longmont (Colo.) United Hospital President and CEO Mitchell Carson is stepping down, after leading the two-year transition to the hospital's new parent, Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health.
