1. Mr. Alward most recently served as CEO of Mercy Hospital in Miami.
2. His previous leadership roles include serving as CEO of Englewood (Fla.) Community Hospital as well as COO and ethics and compliance officer at Terre Haute (Ind.) Regional Hospital.
3. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years, during which time he took on management roles at several Air Force medical bases.
4. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
5. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and in public administration from Troy (Ala.) University.
