Mercy Health hires new regional chief strategy officer: 4 notes

Muskegon, Mich.-based Mercy Health named Kelly Smith regional chief strategy officer, according to a Grand Rapids Business Journal report.

Here are four notes:

 1. Ms. Smith will lead strategy in the health system’s West Michigan region.

2. She previously served as president of Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn (Mich.).

3. She also served as division president of Oakwood Heritage Hospital, now Beaumont Hospital, Taylor (Mich.).

4. She holds a master’s degree in hospital administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus.
