Lutheran Health Network names Mike Poore regional president, CEO

Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network appointed Mike Poore regional president and CEO, effective Aug. 21.

Mr. Poore has served as interim CEO of LHN since Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems — the parent company of LHN — fired former president and CEO Brian Bauer in June. He will also continue in his role as interim CEO of Fort Wayne-based Lutheran Hospital until a permanent CEO is named.

Prior to his appointment as interim president and CEO, Mr. Poore served as vice president of operations for CHS Professional Services Corp. He also previously served as CEO of various hospitals and health systems in Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.

Mr. Poore earned a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Auburn (Ala.) University and a master’s degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.
