Premier plans to acquire Hospira’s TheraDoc subsidiary

Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Salt Lake City-based TheraDoc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hospira that provides clinical surveillance software.

Premier plans to acquire TheraDoc for $117 million in cash, subject to price adjustments related to TheraDoc’s working capital, cash and indebtedness at the time of closing, according to a news release. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2015.

TheraDoc’s Salt Lake City offices and 120 employees will be integrated into Premier’s performance services unit, according to the report.
