Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger has named Amitpal Johal, MD, medical director of enterprise supply chain.
In the new role, Dr. Johal will work to align product availability with patient care needs while supporting systemwide goals for cost, quality and clinical outcomes, according to a LinkedIn post from Dr. Johal. He will also collaborate with leaders across Geisinger, Kaiser Permanente and Washington, D.C.-based Risant Health to share best practices.
Dr. Johal will continue serving as chair of gastroenterology at Geisinger.
