The study asked 1,207 adults in the U.S. about their attitudes toward the possibility of drone deliveries, reported MediaPost.
Here are four things to know.
- Almost half (44 percent) of the respondents said they liked the idea of drone delivery, while 34 percent said they disliked the concept and 23 percent were neutral.
- Most millennials (65 percent) showed a positive opinion on drone delivery, while only 46 percent of generation X and 24 percent of baby boomers exhibited favorable opinions of the technology.
- Respondents named Amazon as the most trusted brand for making drone deliveries, followed by UPS, FedEX, USPS and Google.
- More than a third of respondents (37 percent) said they do not think drone delivery would be safe. Their largest concern about the technology was a malfunctioning drone (49 percent).
