Beth Israel taps cancer radiology, pathology leaders

Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center has appointed Muneeb Ahmed, MD, as division chief of cancer radiology and Stuart Schnitt, MD, as division chief of cancer pathology.

Both physicians will also hold leadership positions at Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as part of the Dana-Farber Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Collaboration, according to a Sept. 25 news release from the hospital. 

At Dana-Farber, Dr. Ahmed will serve as chair of the department of imaging and Dr. Schnitt will serve as chief of oncology pathology.

Dr. Ahmed previously served as chief of interventional radiology and vice chair of radiology at BIDMC, while Dr. Schnitt currently serves as chief of breast oncologic pathology at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center and chief of the breast pathology service at Boston-based Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
