With the new telemedicine offering, called GoodRx Care, patients can see physicians for women’s health, men’s health, preventative care and chronic care services. Physicians will be able to give advice, diagnose conditions and provide prescriptions for routine health conditions.
Most services will cost $20, but visits that require lab tests may cost more. Prices for the services are listed on the GoodRx Care site.
GoodRx is able to offer these services because it recently acquired HeyDoctor, a physician-founded telemedicine company, according to the news release.
GoodRx said it launched the telemedicine platform for several reasons, including that the time it takes to see a physician is too long, the shortage of physicians in the U.S. is worsening and the cost of healthcare is rising.
“In an increasingly fragmented and confusing healthcare system, our goal is to provide a one-stop shop for services that address most basic healthcare needs,” said GoodRx co-CEO and co-founder Doug Hirsch.
