BCBS of Minnesota CEO to step down: 3 things to know

Michael Guyette, president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, will leave the insurer in March.

Here are three things to know about the transition.

1. Mr. Guyette is leaving BCBSM to helm VSP Global, a vision care and insurance company in Rancho Cordova, Calif., according to the Star Tribune.

2. Mr. Guyette served as president and CEO of BCBSM for the past five years.

3. Kathleen Blatz, former chief justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court and BCBSM board member, will serve as interim CEO as BCBSM searches for a new leader.
