8 healthcare organizations adding jobs

The following healthcare organizations shared plans to add jobs since Sept. 5, starting with the most recent.

1. Molina Healthcare to hire 250 in New Mexico amid companywide layoffs
Albuquerque-based Molina Healthcare of New Mexico will add 250 contact center employees during the next year.

2. Blue Mountain, St. Luke's merger to result in 1k job openings
A proposed merger between Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network, and Lehighton, Pa.-based Blue Mountain Health System is expected to result in nearly 1,000 job openings across the combined entity.

3. Parkridge Medical Center hiring for more than 100 jobs
Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., has more then 100 job openings for nursing and patient technicians.

Here are 20 hospitals and health systems that recently posted job listings seeking nurses.

5. Banner Health seeks to fill more than 1k positions
Phoenix-based Banner Health has more than 1,000 job openings across Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Nebraska and California.

6. Christ Hospital creates 13 clinical jobs with urgent care center
Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network's new urgent care center in Fort Wright, Ky., created 13 clinical jobs.

7. Cognizant expands in Tampa, will invest $500k in capital expenditures
Teaneck, N.J.-based Cognizant Technology Solutions will create 75 jobs over the next four years with its planned fourth facility in the Tampa, Fla., area.

8. Magellan Health seeks $2.1M in state tax credits to double workforce
Magellan Health, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based healthcare management company, is seeking up to $2.1 million in state tax credits from the Rhode Island Commerce Corp. to expand its operations in Newport, R.I.
