Christ Hospital creates 13 clinical jobs with urgent care center

Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network's new urgent care center in Fort Wright, Ky., created 13 clinical jobs, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

The facility, located in the same building with The Christ Hospital Outpatient Center–Ft. Wright, opened Sept. 5.

The Christ Hospital Health Network said in a news release the urgent care center will offer X-ray and lab services onsite, as well as sports physicals, among other features.

"We encourage everyone to first and foremost develop a relationship with a primary care physician, but we also understand that because of busy schedules or urgent situations, there are times when a medical need is going to require immediate attention," said Joseph Bateman, MD, executive medical director of The Christ Hospital Physicians–Primary Care, the hospital-owned primary care group. "With the urgent care Center's extended hours and convenient Northern Kentucky location, patients will have rapid access to quality care at a cost that is more aligned with that of a doctor's office visit compared to a trip to the emergency room."

The urgent care center will operate 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
