1. Franciscan Health seeks to fill at least 75 positions
Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health, formerly Franciscan Alliance, is seeking to hire at least 75 employees through job fairs for multiple Indiana hospitals, reports The Times of Northwest Indiana. One job fair will look to fill jobs at Franciscan Health hospitals in Munster, Dyer and Hammond. Another targets job seekers for Franciscan Health Crown Point hospital, where 60 nursing and 15 patient care assistant positions are available.
2. Acadia Healthcare breaks ground on new behavioral health hospital
Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare broke ground Thursday on its new $24 million behavioral health hospital in Conway, Ark., according to a report on ArkansasMatters.com. The 65,000-square-foot facility is expected to bring more than 150 new jobs to the area, according to the report.
3. Datwyler to build $102M manufacturing plant in Delaware
Datwyler, an Altdorf, Switzerland-based industrial supplier, will construct a $102 million manufacturing plant in Delaware. The plant, expected to create about 120 new jobs, will manufacture elastomer components used in injectable drug delivery systems.
4. Ernest Health breaks ground on new rehabilitation facility in Arizona
Albuquerque, N.M.-based Ernest Health has started construction on a new rehabilitation hospital in Flagstaff, Ariz., reports Arizona Daily Sun. The 40-bed Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Arizona will feature services in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for patients who have suffered strokes, hip fractures, brain injuries and other traumas, according to the article. The project is expected to create approximately 120 new jobs.
5. Centene looks to hire 100 in Arizona
St. Louis-based insurer Centene hopes to fill 100 jobs in Arizona by Nov. 1. Open positions include registered nurse openings in utilization review and case management, healthcare supervisors, managers, coordinators, specialists, provider relations, contracting staff, administrative support, analysts and more.
6. Life sciences company to add 551 jobs in North Carolina
Avadim Technologies — a life sciences company — is planning a major expansion of its operations in Buncombe County, N.C., reports Asheville Citizen-Times. As part of the expansion, Asheville, N.C.-based Avadim said it will build a new 100,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Black Mountain, N.C., to meet rapid growth and demand of its technology. The expansion is expected to bring 551 jobs to Buncombe County, including sales and marketing personnel, customer service representatives and information technology specialists.
7. Altus Health System to expand Southwest Houston facility: 6 things to know
Altus Health System in Houston plans to convert its healthcare facility in Southwest Houston into a specialty surgical hospital. As part of the project, Altus Health expects to add up to 15 new jobs with a team of post-surgical unit nursing staff to care for patients after surgery.
