Acadia Healthcare breaks ground on new behavioral health hospital

Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare broke ground Thursday on its new $24 million behavioral health hospital in Conway, Ark., according to a report on ArkansasMatters.com.

The 65,000-square-foot facility is expected to bring more than 150 new jobs to the area, according to the report.

The mayor of Conway spoke positively of the project.

"It's a huge endorsement for us and exciting for central Arkansas especially because it will provide more beds in this niche for people who need it and families that need it and healthcare providers who want to do a good job who need it as well," Mayor Tab Townsell said, according to the report.

The new hospital is slated to open near the end of next year, according to KTHV.
