Under the agreement, Novant Health Shared Services, a division of Novant Health, will help Mon Health enhance physician partnerships “by optimizing practice performance, growing the physician network and strengthening collaboration with independent physicians,” according to a news release. The organizations also will work toward “improving the affordability of care and share operational best practices,” the release reads.
Representatives from both organizations said they were pleased with the agreement.
“Novant Health is excited to work in partnership with Mon Health System, recognizing that past geographic boundaries do not define the breadth and reach of health system collaboration that is needed in an environment of transformation,” Patrick Easterling, president of Novant Health Shared Services, said in a news release.
Darryl L. Duncan, president and CEO of Mon Health System, added, “This new collaboration will continue to improve healthcare for the patients we serve in Morgantown and the north central region of West Virginia through a shared vision focused on physician practice operations, greater efficiency and best practice collaboration.”
