“The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival,” was co-organized by Repairers of the Breach, the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights and Social Justice at Union Theological Seminary and hundreds of other grassroots groups across the nation.

The protesters drew attention to the 1 million uninsured New Yorkers as well as water contamination across the state. They said that poor communities are the ones most affected by these issues.
