12 Cardiology Center Openings and Expansions

Here are twelve cardiology center openings and expansions that have occurred in the past month, starting with the most recent. 

 

1. Warwick, R.I.-based Kent Hospital announced an advanced heart failure program with Boston's Center for Advanced Heart Disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital. 

 

2. Bowling Green, Ky.-based TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital began a $1.4 million upgrade of its cardiology equipment and facilities.

 

3. Sanford, Maine-based Goodall Hospital announced it will offer cardiology services in advance of a planned Jan. 1, 2014, merger with Biddeford-based Southern Maine Medical Center.

 

4. Greece, N.Y.-based Unity Hospital opened its new cardiology floor.

 

5. Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health System's cardiovascular institute received a $4 million donation from Richard M. and Yvonne Hamlin for the construction of a specialized cardiovascular operating room.

 

6. Wynnewood, Pa.-based Lankenau Hospital announced the opening of its new $465 million, 274,000-square-foot heart pavilion.

 

7. Fall River, Mass.-based St. Anne's Hospital held a ribbon cutting for its new patient pavilion, which is partially devoted to cardiology.

10. Hattiesburg (Miss.) Clinic and Hattiesburg-based Forrest General Hospital announced they will construct a $20 million heart and vascular center.

 

11. Thibodaux (La.) Regional Medical Center and the Houma, La.-based Cardiovascular Institute of the South partnered to provide cardiac care.
