Here are three things to know:
1. Dr. Freeman most recently served as senior vice president and chief transformation officer at Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems in Brewer.
2. He also served on the faculty of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
3. In his new role, Dr. Freeman will help develop and implement care improvement strategies focused on clinical integration, population health management and risk sharing models.
