Vince Oliver. CEO of Island Hospital (Anacortes, Wash.). Mr. Oliver became CEO of Island Hospital in May 2000 and took the institution from losing $2 million that year to generating more than $10 million in net revenue over three years. Mr. Oliver has taken his responsibilities to Island Hospital’s patients seriously, spearheading efforts to establish a cancer care center that reached capacity in six months and recruiting physicians to the community. The hospital received a certificate of commendation from Medicare quality improvement organization Qualis Health during his time at the helm.
