Vince Oliver. CEO of Island Hospital (Anacortes, Wash.). Mr. Oliver received the American Hospital Association’s Shirley Ann Munroe Leadership Award in 2015 in recognition of his work as an innovative rural hospital leader. He took over as CEO of the hospital, which is about 80 miles north of Seattle, in 2000. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Oliver has worked with stakeholders to launch programs for sleep wellness, wound care, cancer care and mental health. Mr. Oliver is a retired commander from the U.S. Naval Reserve; he served 22 years as a surface warfare officer.
