VC executive rejoins Kaiser Permanente’s venture arm

Sam Brasch, who worked at Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente Ventures from 2011 to 2014, has rejoined the health giant’s venture capital unit as senior managing director, according the San Francisco Business Times.

Mr. Brasch left Kaiser in 2014 to become venture partner at New Leaf Venture Partners and a senior advisor to Health Catalyst, according to the report.

His re-entry to Kaiser Permanente Ventures was quiet; the company didn’t distribute a press release announcing the appointment, and representatives were not available to answer the San Francisco Business Times‘ questions.

In his prior role at Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Mr. Brasch led its investments in companies such as iniRhythm Technologies, Health Catalyst and Nordic Consulting, according to the report.
