Valley Oaks CEO to step down

The CEO of Lafayette, Ind.-based Valley Oaks Health will retire, according to a Feb. 25 report in The Herald Journal.

After serving the system for 14 years, Tom Gilliom plans to step down in September. During his tenure, he oversaw the transition to electronic systems, an increase in community collaboration and expansions throughout Indiana, the report said. 

He joined the system as director of clinical services and chief operating officer in 2008 before becoming CEO in 2018. 

The system serves a 14-county area of 400,000 people and has almost 500 employees.
