Jason Lineen, UVA Health’s chief strategy officer, was appointed interim chief of Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health Children’s.
Mr. Lineen has served as chief strategy officer since January 2021. He will continue in that role while taking on this interim position, which begins Oct. 6, according to a news release from the health system.
Mr. Lineen succeeds Cindy Bo, who was named the inaugural chief of UVA Health Children’s in March. Ms. Bo is currently away from the role for personal reasons, the release added.
Mr. Lineen is credited with playing a key role in the development of UVA Health’s 10-year strategic plan, as well as with building partnerships among health systems statewide.
He added in the release that he is looking forward to partnering with the team to continue growing pediatric care offerings, especially UVA Health Children’s plans to expand the neonatal ICU from 60 beds to 100.
Before joining UVA Health, he served as senior vice president and consulting practice leader at Avia, a Chicago-based healthcare strategy and innovation firm.
