Carlos Bohorquez, CFO of Mountain View, Calif.-based El Camino Health, is joining San Diego-based UC San Diego Health as its next CFO.
Mr. Bohorquez will depart El Camino Health at the end of 2025 after leading the system through consistent financial performance and strategy execution, according to a recent notice from the health system. Under his leadership, El Camino Health strengthened its balance sheet, improved operating margins and navigated a complex healthcare environment while advancing its strategic goals.
El Camino Health has launched a national search for its next CFO and expressed confidence that its reputation and financial strength will attract top-tier candidates.
UC San Diego Health, part of the University of California system, has not yet publicly announced Mr. Bohorquez’s start date and did not respond to Becker’s request for comment.
Lori Donaldson is the current CFO of UC San Diego Health and has served in the role for the last 15 years after her promotion from controller. Ms. Donaldson is retiring after nearly three decades leading the health system through transformative change and growth.
