Texas hospital district taps CEO

McCamey (Texas) County Hospital District has named Mo Sheldon as CEO.

Ms. Sheldon brings more than 25 years of rural healthcare leadership experience across Texas, Washington and Arizona, according to a Dec. 1 hospital district news release. She most recently served as CEO of Northern Cochise Community Hospital and Clinics in Willcox, Ariz., where she led pandemic response efforts and secured federal funding for facility upgrades.

She previously served as superintendent and CEO of Odessa (Wash.) Memorial Healthcare Center. In Texas, she held senior leadership roles at Glen Rose Medical Center and Matagorda County Hospital District in Bay City.

In the new role, Ms. Sheldon will oversee operations for McCamey County Hospital, as well as a rural health clinic, wellness center and convalescent center.
