Moorestown, N.J.-based Tabula Rasa HealthCare announced the retirement of co-founders Calvin Knowlton, PhD, and Orsula V. Knowlton, PharmD, effective immediately, according to a Sept. 14 news release.
Dr. Calvin Knowlton served as the CEO and board chairman. Dr. Orsula Knowlton served as the co-president and chief marketing and business development officer.
Tabula Rasa HealthCare director Michael Purcell was named independent chair of the board. Brian Adams, the organization's co-president, will serve as interim CEO while the board identifies a permanent successor.
Mr. Purcell thanked the Knowltons for their dedication and leadership for the last 13 years.
"The Knowltons have helped establish a strong foundation for the Company, and with our team of proven senior executives in place, I am highly confident in the future of Tabula Rasa. Brian is the right choice for interim CEO, and under his leadership we will continue to capitalize on growth opportunities and enhance our unique position in the market to deliver long-term, sustainable value," Mr. Prucells said.
To support a seamless transition, the Knowltons have signed consulting agreements with Tabula Rasa HealthCare through the end of 2022.
