Susan Melvin, DO. CMO of Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Melvin, a physician board-certified in family medicine, was named CMO of Long Beach Memorial in 2012. Prior to her tenure as CMO, she served as president and CEO of Memorial Family Medicine and director of the Family Residency Program at Long Beach Memorial. Dr. Melvin also holds academic appointment at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif., and serves as a clinical professor at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine’s department of family medicine. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Melvin has also authored several textbook chapters and articles on various topics, including women’s health and geriatrics.
