Sterling Regional MedCenter selects interim CEO: 4 notes

Sterling (Colo.) Regional MedCenter, part of Phoenix-based Banner Health, promoted Chief Nursing Officer Wade Tyrell to an interim CEO role, according to the Journal-Advocate.

Four notes:

1. Mr. Tyrell is taking on interim CEO duties so that current CEO Hoyt Skabelund will have more time to focus on his responsibilities as CEO for Banner Health Western Division Rurals.

2. Mr. Skabelund has been serving CEO of the hospital and Western Division Rurals since April 2017.

3. Banner Health is searching for a permanent replacement for Mr. Skabelund.

4. Mr. Tyrell has served as CNO of the hospital since 2014.
