South Dakota critical access hospital CFO retiring, interim named

Huron (S.D.) Regional Medical Center has named Joel Nelson interim vice president and CFO following the planned retirement of longtime CFO Marcia Zwanziger. 

Mr. Nelson has served as the 25-bed critical access hospital’s controller and has led the fiscal services department, according to a June 27 Huron Regional news release. 

Ms. Zwanziger is assisting the hospital in a consulting role during the transition, according to the release. She has served in financial leadership roles at Huron Regional since 1991. 

The hospital also named Janna Rose as director of revenue integrity. She led Huron Regional’s materials management operations for more than 17 years.
