Simi Valley Hospital CEO steps down

Kim Milstien, MBA, has resigned from her role as president and CEO of Simi Valley (Calif.) Hospital, part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health System, according to a recent report in the Simi Valley Acorn.

Ms. Milstien submitted her resignation letter to the hospital’s governing board on Nov. 20. She has served as president and CEO since 2012, and has worked with Adventist Health for the past 18 years. According to the report, Ms. Milstien said she is leaving Simi Valley Hospital “to pursue other opportunities.”

Until a permanent replacement is found, Caroline Esparza, senior vice president and CNO of Simi Valley Hospital, will oversee the hospital’s daily operations, according to the report.
