The board voted 3-2 on Tuesday to dismiss Mr. Stewart in a special meeting, according to the Porterville Recorder.
The hospital’s board then named Donna Hefner, executive director of risk management, as interim CEO, according to the report. Ms. Hefner has been at Sierra View District Hospital for more than 20 years.
