Haverhill, Mass.-based Merrimack Health appointed Diana Richardson as permanent president and CEO.
Ms. Richardson had served as interim leader since mid-April, during which she oversaw the unification of Merrimack Valley’s first regional healthcare system, according to an Oct. 9 health system news release.
In September, Lawrence (Mass.) General Hospital and its two Holy Family Hospitals in Haverhill and Methuen, Mass., rebranded and now operate as a single system. Lawrence General purchased the two Holy Family facilities in 2024 following Dallas-based Steward Health Care’s bankruptcy.
Ms. Richardson previously served as a senior transition liaison with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and as president of Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
