Diana Richardson has been named interim president and CEO of Lawrence (Mass.) General Hospital and Holy Family Hospitals, effective April 14.
Ms. Richardson brings two decades of hospital operations experience, most recently serving as a senior transition liaison with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, according to a March 20 Lawrence General news release. She previously served as president of Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Her appointment follows the resignation of Abha Agrawal, MD, who became CEO in January 2024. She and the board had “a different vision and approach for the future,” Dr. Agrawal wrote in a Feb. 27 LinkedIn post.
During her tenure, Dr. Agrawal led Lawrence General’s acquisition of Holy Family Hospital locations in Methuen and Haverhill, Mass., from Dallas-based Steward Health Care; the deal was finalized Oct. 1.
Robin Hynds, MSN, who was previously named acting CEO, will continue in her role as system executive vice president and COO, the release said.
