Petersburg Medical Center CEO to retire next year

Petersburg (Ark.) Medical Center CEO Elizabeth Woodyard, RN, is retiring in June 2018, according to a KFSK report.

Ms. Woodyard assumed the CEO role at the public hospital in July 2011. She previously served as CEO at a hospital in Northern California. She has 44 years of healthcare industry experience. She plans to look for volunteer opportunities or part-time jobs in Petersburg after she retires, the report notes.

Ms. Woodyard led a financial turnaround at PMC and also grew the hospital’s staff, which now features 116 employees. The board will soon begin searching for her replacement, and she will work with the board to make sure the leadership transition is smooth.
