ECU Health hospital president to retire

Patrick Heins, DNP, RN, will retire as president of ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, N.C., effective Dec. 12.

Mr. Heins has spent 30 years at Greenville, N.C.-based ECU Health, including the past eight years as hospital president, according to a Sept. 15 health system news release.

He joined ECU Health in 1996 as a nursing assistant at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville. He later served as president of ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, N.C., before becoming president of ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in 2018.
