New COO, CFO join PeaceHealth Southwest: 5 things to know

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., has welcomed two new members to its senior leadership team.

Here are five things to know about the leaders.

Wade Hunt has been named COO.

1. Mr. Hunt has international healthcare experience, which officials said will help lead efforts to develop care models for southwest Washington residents.

2. Officials said his experience working in challenging and diverse international healthcare markets, most recently in the Middle East, "brings new and inventive operating models to PeaceHealth Southwest."

Ron Benfield has been named CFO of the PeaceHealth Columbia Network, which includes PeaceHealth Southwest and PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash.

3. Mr. Benfield has more than three decades of experience in healthcare.

4. Officials said he is passionate about serving in mission-based organizations, and has "a strong track record of improving quality and creating steady, sustainable stewardship improvements."

5. Additionally, Mr. Benfield has a wealth of knowledge on industry best practices, and is open to explore new ways to improve the health and well-being of PeaceHealth's Vancouver and Longview communities, officials said.
