Mercy Health-Cincinnati selects chief nursing officer for East Market

Mercy Health-Cincinnati appointed Melissa Samuelson, MSN, DNP, RN, vice president and chief nursing officer of its East Market, which includes Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati and Clermont Hospital in Batavia, Ohio.

Ms. Samuelson previously served as chief nursing executive at Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Regional Medical Center. She also served in chief nursing executive positions with Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston, Ala., and Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.

Ms. Samuelson is an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and American Nurses Association. She will assume her new role at Mercy Health-Cincinnati Feb. 19.
