Melinda Estes, MD. President and CEO of Saint Luke’s Health System (Kansas City, Mo.). Since 2011, Dr. Estes has led the 10-hospital Saint Luke’s Health System, which includes home care and hospice, behavioral healthcare and physician practices. Dr. Estes is responsible for improving access to care and oversaw the expansion of Saint Luke’s primary care practices as well as the creation of multispecialty clinics and launch of a mobile e-health option for care. During her tenure at Saint Luke’s, the health system developed a strategic plan to deliver more convenient healthcare, opening four micro-hospitals and new outpatient facilities in Mission and Blue Springs, Mo. In 2016, Kansas City Business Journal named Dr. Estes to its Power 100 list for the third consecutive year. She previously led Burlington, Vt.-based Fletcher Allen Health Care as president and CEO.
