Pittsfield, Mass.-based Berkshire Health Systems appointed Brenda Cadorette, MSN, RN, chief nursing executive for the system.
Ms. Cadorette will focus on creating shared governance for nursing while ensuring practices and staff development promote patient safety and patient-centered care, according to an April 4 system news release. Each hospital in the system will appoint an associated chief nursing officer to focus on hospital operations and lead the hospital’s nursing team, all of which will work in tandem with Ms. Cadorette.
Ms. Cadorette joined the system in 1995 as a nursing assistant. Over her career, she has held a number of nurse leadership positions, and for the past 11 years she served as vice president of acute care and CNO at the system.
