Cheryl Cioffi, DNP, RN, has been named president and CEO of Frederick (Md.) Health, effective July 1.
Dr. Cioffi has been with Frederick Health for nearly 30 years, according to a May 7 health system news release shared with Becker’s. She most recently served as chief administrative officer and previously held roles as chief nursing officer and COO.
She succeeds Tom Kleinhanzl, who will retire Oct. 31. Mr. Kleinhanzl will serve as CEO emeritus for the remainder of his term, the release said.
Frederick Health operates Frederick Health Hospital, a medical group, home care and hospice services, and several ambulatory care locations.
