Maryland system names president

Aaron Rabinowitz, PhD, was appointed president of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health in Bel Air, a partner of Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System.

Mr. Rabinowitz joins UM UCH after serving as senior vice president and general counsel for UMMS, according to a July 18 news release.

He replaces Elizabeth Wise, who shared plans to pursue other opportunities.

In conjunction with the UM UCH leadership transition, Adil Daudi was appointed interim general counsel for UMMS, according to the release.

UM UCH is a community-based, integrated, nonprofit system. It operates two acute care medical centers — UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air and UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Aberdeen — along with various other locations.
