Louisiana system taps chief security officer

Eric Sean Clay was appointed chief security officer at Baton Rouge, La.-based Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System.

In this role, Mr. Clay is responsible for enterprisewide security strategy, risk management, emergency preparedness and safety operations, according to an Oct. 14 health system news release shared with Becker’s.

He most recently served as vice president of security services at Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, where he led a team of more than 500 security and law enforcement officers.

Mr. Clay also has security leadership experience with The Walt Disney Co. and worked for the U.S. Federal Air Marshal Service, the release said.

FMOL Health is a nonprofit, Catholic organization with nine main campus hospitals.
