Josh Urban to serve as Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital’s new CEO: 4 notes

Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System named Josh Urban senior vice president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, Texas, effective Feb. 6, 2017.

Here are four notes:

1. Currently, Mr. Urban serves as senior vice president and CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands (Texas) Hospital. He will continue in this role post Feb. 6, jointly leading the two hospitals.

2. He has worked at Memorial Hermann since 2000, when he joined as an administrative fellow reporting to Dan Wolterman, former president and CEO of the health system.

3. He has also previously served as chief ambulatory services officer at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston.

4. He is succeeding Heath Rushing, who has been named senior vice president and CEO for Memorial Hermann Katy (Texas) Hospital and Memorial Hermann Cypress (Texas) Hospital.
